About True Companion Vets

Helping Pets Thrive. Giving Owners Confidence.

At True Companion Vets, we believe great veterinary care starts with listening.

We understand that when a pet is unwell, owners often feel worried, overwhelmed and unsure of what to do next. That’s why our approach is built around clear communication, personalised care and helping people feel informed and supported throughout every stage of their pet’s healthcare journey.

Founded by Dr Cyrus So, True Companion Vets was created with a simple goal: to provide high-quality veterinary medicine in a clinic where people, pets and team members are genuinely valued.

After working in a range of veterinary hospitals and practices, Cyrus saw an opportunity to create something different. A clinic where long-term relationships matter. A clinic where owners feel comfortable asking questions. A clinic where pets receive thoughtful, individualised care rather than being treated as just another appointment.

As an independent veterinary practice, we’re able to focus on what matters most: doing what’s right for our patients and supporting the people who love them.

Whether your pet needs preventative healthcare, diagnostics, surgery, hospital care or guidance through a difficult decision, our team is here to provide compassionate support and practical advice every step of the way.

“I wanted to build a clinic where people, pets and our team are all treated with genuine care and respect.”

Modern Veterinary Care With A Personal Approach

We combine personalised veterinary care with modern diagnostics, advanced treatment options and evidence-based treatment to help pets live healthier, happier lives.

We believe good veterinary care balances clinical knowledge with practical decision-making. Sometimes the right answer is straightforward. Other times, it involves discussing different options together and choosing the approach that best suits your pet and your family.

We recognise that every pet, family and situation is different. That’s why we take the time to understand your concerns, explain recommendations clearly and work with you to create a plan that meets your pet’s needs.

What Makes True Companion Vets Different?

  • Personalised Care: Every pet is unique. We tailor our recommendations to your pet’s individual health needs, lifestyle and circumstances.
  • Reassuring Communication: We want owners to leave appointments feeling informed, supported and confident, rather than confused or uncertain.
  • Advanced Veterinary Medicine: From preventative healthcare through to diagnostics, surgery and hospital care, we’re committed to providing a high standard of veterinary care close to home.
  • Relationships That Last: We believe trust is built over time. Our focus is on developing long-term relationships with pets and the people who care for them.
  • Independent and Honest: As an independent clinic, we’re free to focus on personalised service, continuity of care and creating a positive experience for every client and patient.

“The best outcomes happen when everyone works together and enjoys what they do. A happy team provides better care for every pet.”

Real Pets, Real Stories, Real Outcomes.

Every pet has their own story, and every health journey is different. Here, we share some of our real patient stories, from unexpected diagnoses and hidden health problems to successful recoveries and life-changing treatments.

I came to have my dog spayed and it was very reassuring to have the whole process explained to me, as it’s my first time having pets and I was quite nervous. They also explained what steps to take at home to make the recovery as comfortable and pleasant as possible for my pet. I felt very calm with the care they gave my fur baby.

My cat Luna always very scared at vet. Doctor and nurse very gentle and give her time to calm down. My English not very good, but doctor explain everything slowly and make sure I understand. I feel much less worried. Thank you!

Mei - Luna's Human

My dog had been itchy for quite some time, chewing on his paws and having some irritated skin. We went to the vet, and they explained that there could be several causes, from environmental allergies to dietary issues or other skin conditions. They offered us different options to investigate the cause while we monitored the symptoms. We started the recommended treatment and some at-home care measures. I especially appreciated that they looked for the underlying cause and didn’t just try to temporarily relieve the itching, as I had given up trying unnecessarily numerous products that didn’t help. Thanks to them, we finally identified the real problem.

Carmen - Samson's Human

My dog started shaking his head a lot and scratching one of his ears. He also had crusty skin inside his ear. At the vet clinic, they examined his ear and explained that he had otitis. They offered to clean it and use the specific treatment for the infection, also explaining that it was important to monitor his progress to prevent it from becoming a recurring problem. They also explained how to properly clean his ear and what symptoms should prompt me to return for a follow-up appointment. The treatment worked very well, and he stopped bothering himself within a few days.

Leon - Max's Human

I took my cat to the vet because he’d been trying to urinate for hours and couldn’t. At the clinic, they told us he had an obstruction and would first try to fix it with a catheter, but it wasn’t enough and he was obstructed again a few weeks later. They finally had to operate to prevent the problem from recurring. He was hospitalised for a few days, and then they gave us medication and feeding guidelines. We were quite upset that we hadn’t realised his condition sooner, but the operation went well, and now he’s perfectly fine. The staff was very kind and reassured us by letting us know that this problem is more common in cats than it seems and that we shouldn’t feel guilty. We’re very happy with the outcome of the treatment and the care they gave my cat throughout the entire process.

The vet showed us Coco’s dental images and explained exactly which teeth were causing the problem. We received updates throughout the day and clear instructions when we took her home.

Have Questions? We're Here To Help.

Why choose an independent veterinary clinic?

Independent veterinary clinics can offer a more personalised experience, focusing on long-term relationships and continuity of care. At True Companion Vets, our goal is to provide clear communication, tailored recommendations and support that reflects the individual needs of each pet and family.

What makes personalised veterinary care important?

Every pet has different health needs, lifestyle factors and family circumstances. Personalised veterinary care allows treatment and preventative health recommendations to be tailored to the individual rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.

How does continuity of care benefit my pet?

Seeing the same veterinary team over time helps build a deeper understanding of your pet’s medical history, personality and changing healthcare needs. This can support more informed decision-making and a more consistent experience for both pets and owners.

What should I expect from my first visit to a new veterinary clinic?

Your first visit is an opportunity to discuss your pet’s health history, current needs and any concerns you may have. The focus should be on understanding your pet as an individual and creating a plan that supports their ongoing health and wellbeing.

How do I know if a veterinary clinic is the right fit for my family?

Many pet owners look for a clinic that communicates clearly, listens to their concerns and takes the time to explain available options. Trust, transparency and a positive relationship with the veterinary team are often important factors when choosing a long-term veterinary provider.

Why do pet owners value long-term relationships with their vet?

Long-term veterinary relationships can help owners feel more confident when making decisions about their pet’s healthcare. Familiarity with a pet’s history also allows the veterinary team to provide more personalised guidance as their needs change over time.
